Meet Paul Hubbard
Hi, I have been with Central Austin Toastmasters since March of 2015. I am originally from El Paso, TX. Upon arriving in Austin, I wanted to meet people and socialize in a friendly environment. Central Austin Toastmasters was exactly that environment to grow my public speaking skills. The speeches I have given encompass a variety of topics. Some of the topics that I enjoy talking about are diet, music, and travel. My confidence has greatly improved since joining Toastmasters.

Braille in Modern World
Original speech date: June 13, 2016 Project: Competent Communication #7 (Research Your Topic) CC #7 took a while to finish, as I wanted a topic that requires proper research. I gave an updated speech at the Area K73 Speech Contest, where I focused on using the entire stage and making hand gestures. I present this updated version. Thank you, Mr. Toastmaster, and thank you everyone for coming to the Area K73 Contest—instead of going to the ACL, which is actually a lot more fun!

Discover Your Element in Speaking
Original speech date: February 15th, 2016 Project: Competent Communication #10 (Inspire Your Audience) At our 25th club anniversary and open house, I got to give an inspirational speech (inspired by Ken Robinson's "The Element") and tell a story about who I was, why I joined Toastmasters, and how Toastmasters changed me. Thank you for the kind introduction, Raymond, and thank you, Tobi and Beia, for representing Central Austin with me tonight. I really appreciate you guys. Go
